The custom filtering functionality in Cardinal Store Locator is live, meaning all the location data is stored without having to perform extra requests to the database or locations file. By default, the plugin makes the city, state and postal meta fields available for filtering in addition to the default “Location Categories” taxonomies if you’re using the built-in “Locations” custom post type. The plugin will pick up additional taxonomies that are assigned to the post type if you’re interested in setting up other filters with custom taxonomies. For the filter type you are able to choose between a select field, radio buttons, or checkboxes and you can choose whether the filtering is done exclusively (OR) or inclusively (AND).
